I just had this conversation with my mother-in-law.

M-I-L: *examines my new phone* Who's this guy, with the big blue eyes?
Me: Oh that's Bob. He's a drummer in a band I like.
M-I-L: He must be wearing those contact lenses.

M-I-L: Oh, have you gone off that other guy?
Me: NO! Wait, what guy?

SO EMBARRASSING! And I have no idea who she means. JP didn't help matters by saying "that could describe a lot of guys that Clare likes" hahahaha.

Then Callum started asking to listen to The Used *rolls eyes* my family!

Hi! Um... you may have noticed that I have been away for a while. Yeah. I've been in hospital with a throat infection *rolls eyes* I just got out today which is lucky because Hello! I'm going to America on Monday! Luckily my consultant is a wonderful, wonderful person, she promised to get me better in time for the holiday and she did! Of course the whole episode could have been prevented if the useless wanker of a doctor that I saw on Sunday had just given me the antibiotics I needed then but noooooo! Instead the condescending bastard decided to give me a lecture on the dangers of overusing antibiotics. Because I'm so addicted to penicillin, you know, it gets me so high. WHAT? Urgh. Aaaanyway I'm still a bit wobbly but I should recover fully over the weekend :)

Oh good news! I got my lost kitty back! Hurrah! When I went to see Dr Asshat on Sunday I saw someone had a sign outside their house "black and white kitten found" so I went in and there was my baby kitty. He is home safe and now has an address tag on! And at least some good came from visiting that moron doctor.

So that's where I have been this week, I'm away next week too and probably the week after because I have the whole reception thing and then the MCR concert and stuff. But I'll be sure to post loads of pictures of me losing all my money in Vegas, being eaten by sharks in Hawaii etc LOL.

Bad news: My kitty has run away (again!). I'm never getting another pet again. Ever.

Good news: Callum won the prize for best costume in his class today. He is very happy and full of himself now :)

Weird news: I dreamt that John Glover was Jesus. He bit some poor boy on the nose and then turned his hotel room into a sleazy Mexican brothel. John Glover makes a very bad Jesus.

We spent most of yesterday making Callum's halloween costume. He has a fancy dress parade at school on Friday, he is going as Optimus Prime this year.

Callum did all the painting (except the back which JP did) and I did all the cutting and sticking and tin-foiling. I know it's not accurate or anything (no wheels!) but I was really quite pleased with it in the end. Especially as we didn't spend a single penny, we used only junk already lying around the house. Recycling FTW!
