Black Books - Bernard's Bitches
There's a site that I visit regularly that I really should have shared with you all ages ago. craigharper.com.au. Now usually I can't stand all that self-help nonsense. Call me cynical but I think at best it's common sense masquerading as profound ideas and at worst it's complete and utter bollocks written by con-artists who are preying on people during their weakest moments *cough*the secret*cough*.

The difference with Craig is that it's like he's just figuring this stuff out for himself and then sharing it on his blog, he doesn't pretend to be some super-motivated, perfect guy with all the answers. I wasn't looking for self-help or any advice at all when I found the site but it's really helped me to make positive changes in my life. So I'm linking some of my favourite articles and I hope that maybe you'll find them helpful too.

This article on mastering motivation gets me out of bed when I'm having "one of those days". Which is every day. Do it anyway has become my motto, not the wittiest or most inspiring motto around but it works for me.

War of the Mind is so relevant to me, it's shocking. I have that stay-in-bed-you-loser argument with myself every morning but thanks to Craig I can ignore my inner bad guy. (Oh God, I sound like some kind of deluded cult member, don't I?)

A Better Life in Seven Steps. Pretty much common sense but it serves as a useful reminder whenever I'm slacking!

The Seven(teen) Habits of Highly (In)effective People. Ha! This article was pretty much the catalyst for change in my life. I recognised way too many of those habits in myself!

It's not all serious though, these two articles made me laugh: Keep Your Thin Creepy Lips to Yourself and Space Invaders with Bad Breath . Sometimes I get the feeling that he is (secretly) just as anti-social as I am!
